Interim President Everts

Office of the President

Dr. Sheri Noren Everts, Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, will serve as Interim President from May 16 through August 14, 2013.  Dr. Noren Everts has served Illinois State University as Provost since July, 2008. She previously served as interim senior vice chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs at the University of Nebraska-Omaha.

Dr. Noren Everts received her bachelor’s degree in English and secondary education, master’s degree in literacy education and English and Ph.D. in administration, curriculum and instruction from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln.

These majors are contained within our six academic Colleges: Applied Science and Technology, Arts and Sciences, Business, Education, Fine Arts, and Mennonite College of Nursing. We think of ourselves as a large institution with a small school atmosphere. In other words, students who remark about their undergraduate or graduate experiences on our campus generally say that the campus has a very "small" feel to it. This is a true testament to the faculty and staff at Illinois State University who work with our students on a daily basis.
