Jerry Goldman, a scholar on the U.S. Supreme Court, will present the Hibbert R. Roberts Lecture with Top Tiffs and Tidbits: The U.S. Supreme Court in Action at 7 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 18, in the Old Main Room of the Bone Student Center.
Goldman heads the OYEZ Project at the Chicago-Kent College of Law, a multimedia database devoted to the U.S. Supreme Court. With grants from the National Science Foundation and the National Endowment for the Humanities, Goldman is working with collaborators in linguistics, psychology, computer science and political science to create a complete archive of 50 years of Supreme Court audio. Goldman’s talk is sponsored by Illinois State’s Department of Politics and Government and Sage Foundation.
