Social justice activist, traveling teacher and author Bill Grace will present Finding Courage, Hope and Happiness While Serving the Common Good on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 3 p.m. on the main floor of Milner Library. A book signing will follow the Q&A session, which is part of Illinois State University’s Speaker Series.
The author of Sharing the Rock, Grace is the founder of the Center for Ethical Leadership, which works to promote the common good through ethical leadership, civic responsibility and collaborative problem solving. Grace’s book is being used as a springboard for a national movement called Compact for the Common Good. He directs Common Good Works and speaks and leads seminars around the world. Grace’s talk is sponsored by Illinois State University Division of Student Affairs and Milner Library.
The Speaker Series of Illinois State University seeks to bring innovative and enlightening speakers to the campus with the aim providing the community a platform to foster dialog, cultivate enriching ideas and continue an appreciation of learning as an active and lifelong process.
