Food Studies
Overview
The Food Studies minor at Illinois State helps you understand the biological, cultural, environmental, philosophical, and political aspects of food and food systems. This interdisciplinary field prepares you for food-related jobs in education, health sciences, government, the non-profit and advocacy sectors, and the food industry.

Why study Food Studies?
Food Studies offers courses in nine different disciplines from across campus, including Anthropology; Agriculture; Economics; Geography; Health Science, Marketing, Nutrition, Philosophy, and Politics and Government. It is student-centered and flexible allowing you to compose your own plan of study along with a supervised research project or internship.
