Interdisciplinary Studies Liberal Studies
Overview
Liberal Studies provides opportunities for students to build a concentration of coursework to create a major of interest. It is intended for the student who is seeking a baccalaureate degree without the specialization of a traditional major. The student chooses the focus of the program by determining the departments or schools in which they wish to pursue advanced work. Students in this major can be creative in developing their plan of study to include significant courses in one department, developing a theme for coursework, or combining work from 2 or more minor areas of study.
Point of Pride
Some topics recently chosen by Liberal Studies majors include East Asian Studies, Classical Civilization, Three-Dimensional Design, International Public Administration, Health and Wellness, and Theatre Management.
