The Presidential Scholarship is our most prestigious award available to new freshmen. Freshmen who meet the criteria for the Presidential Scholarship and apply for admission during our preferred filing period of September 1 – November 15 will be invited to apply for this award.
3.75+ cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale
Submit our scholarship form by December 15
Apply to the University by November 15
Submit your scholarship form by December 15--we'll send it to you after you're admitted
Finalists are required to participate in an interview program in January or February
Award winners are announced in mid-March
Not selected? Students who complete the Presidential Scholarship process but are not selected will automatically be awarded a Redbird Academic Scholarship.
To compete for the Presidential Scholarship—and to be eligible for the highest available awards—students will be required to submit a scholarship form for review shortly after admission to the University. The information on this form includes:
- Academic achievement
- Extracurricular involvement
- Leadership roles
- Work experience
- A brief essay
- Optional SAT or ACT test scores

The Presidential Scholarship is renewable for up to three additional years. To renew your award, you must maintain:
- Continuous enrollment with 12 hours or more
- 3.3+ cumulative GPA
