The University Scholarship is awarded to new freshmen from traditionally underrepresented groups or first-generation college students. Freshmen who meet the criteria for the University Scholarship and apply for admission during our preferred filing period of September 1 - November 15 will be invited to apply for this award beginning in November.

Recent University Scholars have had an average SAT of 1300 (or an ACT of 28) and an average cumulative GPA of 3.95 or above on a 4.0 scale. Award winners are announced mid-March.
Not selected? Students who complete the application process but are not selected will automatically be offered a Redbird Academic Scholarship.
