Applied Health Sciences
Overview
Healthcare is one of the largest and most complex industries in the global economy. It includes thousands of careers in clinical, technical, administrative, financial and supportive roles.
Healthcare occupations in general are expected to grow rapidly over the next decade. There is great need for professionals with a broad understanding of the complex health issues we face today.
The Applied Health Sciences major provides students with a range of courses in health- related subjects. This allows you to tailor your studies toward a specific non-technical health career. A few examples include case management, medical marketing and sales, patient advocacy, and patient experience design.
Graduates of Applied Health Sciences are well-prepared to pursue additional education in nursing, public health, healthcare administration and more.
