Overview

The Recreation and Sport Management minor is ideal for people who recognize the importance of parks. Students learn to promote leisure as a healthy activity. The program teaches students how cultural, social, and geological factors influence the development of parks and recreation centers.

The minor prepares students to deliver a quality recreation experience. Students will be able to work with people who have varying skill levels and backgrounds.

The Recreation and Sport Management program has been nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation of Parks, Recreation, Tourism, and Related Professions for more than 30 years.
