College of Arts and Sciences Programs
The College of Arts and Sciences is the largest and most diverse college at the university. It serves a major role in the intellectual development of our students by providing opportunities in the humanities, sciences, and social sciences. Students gain a liberal arts education with a focus on important skills such as critical inquiry, analytical thinking, scientific investigation, exchange of ideas, collaboration, and real-world application. This training prepares students to be informed, engaged citizens and leaders, and for a lifetime of career opportunities.
The College offers 28 bachelor’s degree programs with 64 plans of study, 19 masters programs with 43 plans of study, and 5 doctoral programs with 8 plans of study across its 16 departments and schools. The College of Arts and Sciences also houses 44 minors including playing an important role in interdisciplinary minors such as: African-American Studies; African Studies; Children’s Studies; Civic Engagement and Responsibility; Classical Studies; Cognitive Science; East Asian Studies; Environmental Studies; Ethnic Studies; European Studies; Food Studies; Global Studies, Latin American and Latino/a Studies; Middle Eastern and South Asian Studies; Native American Studies; Peace and Conflict Resolution Studies; Religious Studies; Urban Studies; Water Sustainability Studies, and Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies.
