  • Innovative Facilities

    The Nursing Simulation Lab is a 10,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art learning center. High-fidelity patient simulators, standardized patients, an electronic medical record system, and realistic medical equipment are used to provide students experience in a controlled clinical setting.

  • Leading the Way

    MCN graduates achieved a 96 percent pass rate on the national nursing licensure examination (NCLEX-RN) in 2018—better than state and national averages (88 percent).

  • Mennonite College of Nursing's Family Nurse Practitioner program has had a 99% cumulative pass rate on the national certification exam since its founding.

  • Our online Nursing Leadership and Management program is ranked as one of the Best Online Nursing Programs by U.S. News & World Report and earned the certification of "high quality" from Quality Matters for an online course.

  • Classes are taught by faculty who conduct cutting-edge research and who have clinical expertise. Our faculty-student ratio at clinical sites is 1-to-8.

  • The America's Promise School Project has developed unique clinical opportunities for oral health initiatives in Central Illinois elementary schools.

  • Nurses with Doctor of Nursing Practice degrees report faster salary growth, more opportunities for promotion, and higher job satisfaction.

  • The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services awarded a $2 million grant to MCN to support diversity in the nursing workforce in 2017.

  • The Bureau of Health Workforce in the Health Resources and Services Administration of the U.S. Department of Human Services awarded a $1.4 million Advanced Nursing Education Workforce grant to MCN in 2017. This two-year grant will prepare FNP students to practice primary care in rural and underserved settings.

  • MCN's Ph.D. in nursing program delivers a fully online curriculum combining synchronous and asynchronous class sessions to provide flexibility for student scheduling and a strong PhD student and faculty community.

  • The Transcultural Nursing Experience allows students the opportunity to examine nursing care in a location that is culturally different. Locations have included Brazil, England, and Russia.
