    Milner Library provides students with study resources that include leisure and study seating; research assistance; access to over a million-and-a-half books and over 100,000 periodicals; digital collections; campus uLab; ubiquitous wireless; multimedia center; collaboration stations; and printing, copying, and scanning options.

  • Be Heard

    Civic engagement is a priority illustrated by supporting voter registration campaigns and serving as an early voting location.

  • Individualized Attention

    Individualized assistance is the norm at Milner Library. Everyone at Illinois State has their own librarian designated by subject. Don't worry if you have yet to decide on your field of study, because a librarian has been identified for you too.

Additional Points of Pride

  • Milner Library collaborates with the Critical Inquiry Program to ensure freshmen receive information fluency instruction in introductory communication and writing courses.

  • Milner Library has built campus partnerships with Campus Dining, the Career Center, Health Promotion and Wellness, the Julia N. Visor Academic Center, and Veterans and Military Services.

  • Milner Library was voted the Best Place to Study in The Vidette's Best of Blo-No 2017. If you have a need or preference, we have a space for you. Do you like it quiet? Need to meet with a group?
